The Minnesota Wild have signed forward Alex Golis, the team announced Wednesday.
Golis, 21, scored four goals and added three assists in 12 games with the Atlanta Threshers this season.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound forward played for Team Russia at the IIHF World Under-18 Championship last summer and also appeared in the 2016 World Under 18 Championship.
He was also an alternate captain for Team Finland at the World Under 19 Championship.
Golis will join Minnesota’s top-scoring defencemen in the organization.
He’s a veteran of the Swedish Elite League and played in two games with his hometown club last season.
Golas had six goals and 10 points in 47 games last season with the Thresher’s AHL affiliate, the Leksands IF, registering two goals and five points.
