Samsung has announced a new lens that it claims can be used in conjunction with the company’s next generation smartphone.
The company says that the new lens will be used to focus images of a subject on the screen without requiring a separate lens.
The lens, which will be available as an accessory, is designed to focus on the surface of the screen using two special “focus points” built into the lens.
As with the lens announced earlier this year for the Samsung Galaxy S5, the lens uses a special technology called holographic projection.
The new lens is said to be a breakthrough in digital imaging technology.
While previous holographic lenses used holograms to project images of the subject onto the screen, the new technology uses holograms embedded in the lens itself to project the image onto the display.
The lens is reportedly capable of focusing up to 50% of the display at up to 25 degrees, and it is said not to require any special processing to capture the image.
Samsung says that it will be launching the new Lens at a later date, and that the company is also looking into developing lenses for other smartphones.
