The New York Giants quarterback is taking a break from the game to focus on his family and his health.

“I have a couple of stuffs that I have to take care of.
And it’ll be good to see me out there on the field.”
Manning has been dealing with a variety of ailments since suffering a season-ending concussion last November.
Manziel was a healthy scratch for the first two games of the season, before the Giants rallied from a 28-6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings to win the NFC East.
Manning is still dealing with neck and shoulder issues, but said that he hopes to be able to play in all 16 games.
“I’m not going to be out there until I feel like I can be out here,” Manning told reporters after Wednesday’s practice.
“And I know there are going to come a time where I’ll be out on the sidelines.
But I think right now I have some problems.
I’ve been battling with it.
And I’m trying to figure out a way to make sure I get healthy so I can continue to be effective.”
